Choosing the right accessories for your automatic calf feeder
English editorial edition of an archived AGYE article. Historical products, figures and programmes reflect the original publication. Read the original French article ↗

Automatic milk feeders support calf feeding, and suitable accessories can extend their usefulness. The right choice depends on the feeder model, the farm’s needs and the installation.
IFS SynchroFeed pumps
The archived article describes IFS SynchroFeed peristaltic pumps for fresh-milk distribution on larger farms, with simultaneous feeding at up to four stations and a stated capacity of up to 120 calves from one feeding unit. Capacity must be confirmed for the actual configuration.
Regular cleaning and appropriate maintenance are important for hygiene and pump performance. Maintenance kits help organise this work.
Other accessories

Management tools: CalfApp and CalfCloud provide connected access to feeder information. The article also describes CalfApp VITAL, KalbManagerWIN and NetTerminal for additional observation or management functions.
maxiFlex feeding station: the described station includes MultiReader identification and LED indication, a teat with automatic rinsing, adjustment to calf size and a CalfProtect protective grid.
Hoses and maintenance supplies: correctly sized hoses and suitable cleaning products support reliable operation and hygiene.
Check compatibility before choosing
