Identify
The tag’s chip carries a unique identifier. It is the starting point for recognising the same animal throughout its journey.

Electronic ear tags, readers and equipment: recognise each animal and link its identity to actions on your farm.
With our partner Datamars, AGYE helps you choose identification suited to your installation.
Choose my identification →FDX-B or HDX?
Datamars electronic ear tagsRFID lets a reader recognise an animal’s electronic number. Software or the machine then uses this number to retrieve the associated data and apply the settings.
The tag’s chip carries a unique identifier. It is the starting point for recognising the same animal throughout its journey.
A portable reader or fixed antenna reads the identifier when the animal enters the reading area.
The equipment links the number to the registered animal: ration, sorting, milk measurement or weighing, depending on the installed functions.
Remember: an RFID tag identifies the animal. Health, milk and feeding data are managed by the software and equipment to which it is linked.
Datamars develops animal identification solutions, from visual tags to electronic ear tags. Its Bovimars cattle range includes FDX-B and HDX technologies.
The electronic Bovimars N10 references presented by the manufacturer comply with ISO 11784 and 11785.

For a Nedap installation, we check the complete chain: tag, antenna, reader and animal association in the management system.
Review my installation →Both identify animals electronically. The choice depends primarily on the technologies accepted by your readers and machines. Equipment may read one, the other or both.
Choose it when your installation’s readers support FDX-B. Check every relevant machine before equipping the herd.
View FDX ear tags →Choose it when your installation uses HDX readers. This technology must also be validated against existing or planned equipment.
View HDX ear tags →Before ordering: send us the brand and model of your milk feeders, concentrate feeders, readers, milking systems or sorting equipment. ISO compliance alone does not guarantee that every machine accepts both technologies.
The feeder recognises the cow and applies the quantities programmed for her. You reduce manual entries at the passage point.
Explore concentrate feeding →The feeder associates the feed with the identified calf, according to the feeding plan and the monitoring functions of your model.
Explore automatic milk feeders →In an equipped milking parlour, identification assigns measurements to the correct animal and supports individual production follow-up.
Explore milk meters →As the animal passes, the system recognises it and commands the planned direction. Prepare interventions with less searching within the group.
Explore sorting →With compatible scales and a reader, the electronic number links the weight to the right animal.
Electronic reading avoids copying each number by hand. It makes animal recording easier during management operations.
Available applications depend on installed readers, software, connections and equipment.

The portable reader accompanies you to collect numbers close to the animals. Data transfer depends on the model and software used.
The fixed antenna equips a passage area, milking position or machine to recognise the animal in the right place.
AGYE helps you check reading format, location and communication with your system.
Its role is to transmit an identifier to the reader. A passive identification tag does not itself measure rumination or activity.
A suitable sensor, worn on the neck or ear depending on the range, collects behavioural information. Associated identification functions depend on the model and installation.
Explore Velos →Go further with Nedap NOW →It can if each machine accepts the technology and the identifiers are correctly associated in the software. Check every reader and machine: compatibility with a milk feeder does not prove compatibility with a concentrate feeder or sorting system.
An ear tag is worn in the ear and a collar around the neck. Depending on the equipment, they may carry an electronic identifier or a monitoring sensor. The support alone does not define the functions: check the exact reference.
Machine brands and models, reader type, the technology of your current tags, animal numbers and planned equipment. A photograph of the reader’s label can help identify the installation.
The choice also depends on the tag’s intended use. Explain your needs so we can check the suitable reference; electronic tags are not all interchangeable.
